Meghan Antkowiak has called Moscow, Idaho her home since 2013. Born and raised in Michigan, she completed her BFA from the Department of Art and Design at Alma College. While at Alma she had excellent opportunities to study oil and acrylic painting, woodworking, furniture building, sculpture, blacksmithing, pottery and ceramics, life drawing, jewelry, book-building, and a laundry list of other unique classes offered by the Alma art department.
Meghan’s media of choice is usually a combination of gouache and colored pencils on watercolor or Canson paper; India ink, acrylic paint, watercolor, casein, and digital painting are all in the heavy rotation too. Her artwork often features themes of nature, mythology, and legends, and she enjoys bringing old stories to life with a fresh coat of paint. Ranking highest of all on the Favorite Things list is her husband Tyler and their three little giants. |
